Born and raised in Michigan, USA. Visited Japan during college.

After graduating, borrowed a tight-fitting suit from a senior during his travels, aced the interview, landed a job at a major company, and has been living in Japan ever since.

Built experience as a Perl/Java/etc. engineer, system/DB/network/security administrator, team leader, and interpreter before joining a startup in 2008.

When satisfying diverse stakeholder needs with limited engineering resources became a challenge, he discovered Odd-e and Scrum in 2010 and immediately adopted it.

Joined Indeed.com as a Product Owner in 2015, then joined Odd-e Japan in 2020 to help drive international expansion.
